Don’t talk to your friends about your marriage

It seems like the most natural thing in the world.

You love your friends.

One of the things that friends tend to do is talk about problems.

It feels good to have someone seem to understand.

Go ahead… Talk with your friends about anything you want.

Except about your marriage and your partner.

Keep that conversation:

1. Inside your own heart, soul and head to work out.

2. As a conversation with your partner AFTER you are clearer about the Prescribed Way.

Why not talk to friends?

There are three big reasons.

The first is the problem of "training your friends."

Your friends will tell you anything they think you want to hear.

If they think you want to hear that your partner is wonderful, that's what they'll tell you.

If they think you want to hear that your partner is ______, that's what they'll tell you.

The second is that your friends don't know any more about marriage than you do.

The third is that it's disloyal to your partner.

Sad story about Jennifer Lopez (they saved my marriage, ugh)

Jennifer Lopez credits her twin boys for saving her marriage.

She said that Marc Anthony and she weren't always happy.

Boo hoo.

But the "kids" made them stronger.

She says they still fight but the kids make them "see a bigger picture."

She also credits the kids for bringing her out of a depression.

She says her kids "saved her" and "saved her marriage."

Wow. She's an infant.

How responsible is she?

She puts this huge responsiblity off on her children?

Can't she grow up?

It's her job to save her own marriage and pull her behind out of depression.

What is this doing to the children?

This is the kind of sickness that these narcissistic movie starts demonstrate all the time.

If she and Marc Anthony had discovered the Science of Happy Marriage, they wouldn't have to destroy their children.

They could grow up and handle things themselves.

her. Yes, I mean an actual letter, with a stamp and all. It

doesn't have to be long or involved, just sending the letter is a

that is about something he or she likes. Make it funny and

picture of a football or a cutout of a team in action. Example :

Dear Jeannie: Here s to thank you for that wonderful lasagna

you fixed last night. It was fantastic. You are a great cook.

Only you could know these things, you could never buy such a

card. It doesn't require artwork at all, just write it down.
