Lizzie asks…
Would online marriage counseling work for you?
Could it work for you? What do you think are the positives? What do you think could be the negatives?

Some people find the following positive:
They want to remain anonymous if they wish to do so.
They can’t afford to have traditional person to person therapy.
They do not want to leave their home or office.
They initially want a little distance in any sort of counselling relationship.
They live in remote areas where therapists / counsellors are not accessible.
They are thinking about entering traditional person to person counselling, but want to get a sense of what if might be like.
They want to prepare answers to the counsellor’s questions in their own time as their schedule allows by using e-mail.
They want to retain a written record of insights as they emerge during counselling by using e-mail.
Using this service saves them money and time and gives them the convenience of a schedule that suits their needs

MarriageCounseling answers:
Nothing can ever replace the good old fashioned eyeball to eyeball experience with a counselor in the flesh.

Carol asks…
does anyone know of any marriage counseling groups online??

MarriageCounseling answers:
This is a good site!

Helen asks…
Are there any good online colleges to get an MA in Marriage and Family Counseling?
I know online schools are cheaper. I’m just worried about not getting a good job with that degree and any internship experience. Can you do internships through an online school?

MarriageCounseling answers:
You won’t have the face to face experience with an on-line degree. I doubt you would be given an internship by any counseling service that was worth anything. I realize that on-line schools are cheaper. There’s a reason, and you’re discovered it early on. Good job!!!

Nancy asks…
Would you use Online Mentoring and/or Family Marriage Counseling?
I am an experienced Life Mentor and provide Family/Marriage Counseling via the web.

MarriageCounseling answers:
I would give it a try to see if it helped with some of the problems that i have.
