There are a few way to do what you want to do depending of course on how you want it to work and look. One way is to add live chat support in the way of a script. this is the typical thing you see on many sites these days where a client can hit a button on a website to initiate a live real time live chat window.
The other way to do it would be to use a script like flash chat and install this on your server. Client could then chat with you live via the chat window directly from your website.
Most good hosting solution offer version of live chat and flash chat is quite cheap to buy and can be added quite easily to your web hosting plan.
I have had a good play with flash chat and find it quite flexible plus its embedded into your website rather that being in a pop up window. Of course you can probably add live chat support to work in a similar way without to much trouble. most scripts can be made to do all you need with a little time and effort.
